Arsenal will now look to sign Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, according to latest reports.

With the signing of Lacazette out the way, Arsenal are expected to turn their attentions towards signing a winger. It’s believed that Lemar is Arsenal’s top target for the position, and according to the Evening Standard, they’ll look to sign him next.

Arsenal made a bid of just over £30m last month but had it rejected by Monaco. The Ligue 1 champions are determined to keep hold of their remaining best players and have quoted Arsenal a price that’s more than twice their original bid.

Monaco’s stance could force Arsenal to look else where, specifically Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez. The Standard say that contrary to other reports, Arsenal have yet to make a formal offer for Mahrez, but that could change should they not be able to sign Lemar.
