Arsenal have announced that they’ll be debuting their PUMA away kit against Benfica at the Emirates Cup this Saturday.

Arsenal will don their new 2017/18 away kits for their first Emirates Cup match against Benfica on 29 July, which kicks off at 4:20pm.

The Gunners have already revealed their first and second kits, so it was strongly suspected that their blue away strip would be taken for a test drive during the remaining pre-season friendlies.

The new shirt merges two shades of blue and combines this with white detailing.

Unlike the two-tone shirt, the shorts are just one shade of darker blue. However, the socks’ colour scheme mimics the top’s.

As Arsenal.com points out, blue has been used in Arsenal kits since 1892, so while it can seem a little strange compared to our red home strips, it’s not entirely nontraditional.

Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin all lined up to model the new kit, which we won’t have to wait long to see in the flesh.

This away kit is in direct contract to last season’s, which was yellow with navy sleeves.

The home kit is far more familiar to Gooners, with its classic red shirt with white sleeves, while the third is dark grey kit with pink detailing, which is completely different to what we’re used to and fans are loving it.

Tickets to Arsenal v Benfica are still available.

Arsenal also face Sevilla on Sunday 30 July at the same time before playing Chelsea again in the Community Shield on 6 August.
