Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, according to France Football.

Following on from links with Kylian Mbappé and Thomas Lemar, Arsenal have now been linked with a third player from the French champions.

Fabinho, the 23-year-old right-back turned defensive midfielder, was one of the many young players who had a breakthrough season last year.

The tall, tough tackler, with an eye for a long pass, has also got a fantastic penalty record, with 15 scored and just 1 missed. He would therefore fit in well at Arsenal, where, if you exclude the still injured Santi Cazorla, they managed to miss half of their penalties last season. Although Alexandre Lacazette should also go some way to remedying this issue whenever he’s in the lineup.

Manchester United have had the strongest links to Fabinho so far this summer, but with no progress seeming to be made, 101greatgoals.com are relaying the information from France Football that Arsenal have now shown an interest.

With Arsenal’s relatively weak options at right-back when you look past Hector Bellerín, Fabinho could provide options in a number of positions for the Gunners.

But with so much interest in so many of Monaco’s players this summer, it’s going to be hard to pry any one player away.

They have plenty of options if they want to raise money, so they’re in a strong negotiating position, unless a player really tries to force a move.
