Arsenal have reportedly submitted an £8.8m bid for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, Aymen Barkok.

  • Barkok came through the ranks at Frankfurt and has been with them for four years
  • Arsenal bid last season but teenager knocked them back
  • Has scored four and assisted four in 27 appearances for Frankfurt last season
  • Gunners have made another £8.8m bid

Arsenal have apparently made a move for Frankfurt’s wonderkid, Barkok, who made 27 appearances for the Bundesliga club last season, scoring four goals and assisting the same amount.

The Gunners have apparently bid £8.8m for the 19-year-old, according to German outlet, Spox.

Arsenal supposedly made an approach for Barkok last year but the German rejected the chance to move to north London.

The attacking midfielder, who’s scored one in three caps for Germany’s u19s, still has three years left on his current deal with Frankfurt and has been with them since 2013 when he signed from Kickers Offenbach.

Whether Barkok will get much time in Arsenal’s youth team, let alone senior squad, is unknown and therefore it might just be safer for the teenager to stay put if he wants guaranteed first team football.
