Alexandre Lacazette is getting closer to becoming an Arsenal player after the BBC’s David Ornstein declared that the player is set to have a medical.

Ornstein is normally viewed as the most reliable source for Arsenal transfer news on the internet and when he speaks, people tend to sit up and listen.
At this point, there are varying reports on the agreed fee, but what we do know for sure is that it will set a new transfer record at Arsenal and could reach as high as €60m with all bonuses included.

On the flip side, Marseille have tabled a €28m offer for Olivier Giroud. While Arsene Wenger has stated in the past that he wants to keep the Frenchman at the club, Giroud will not accept a bit-part role, especially in a World Cup year.
West Ham are another club whose interest in the target man seems to be real.
