Arsenal could renew their interest in Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick after his move to Juventus collapsed.

  • Juventus and Sampdoria had agreed a £22m deal, but the move broke down at the last minute
  • A failed medical was said to be the cause of the collapse
  • Arsenal were interested in Schick before the move

The 21-year-old was all set to join Juventus after they had agreed a £22m fee with Samporia. However, the Old Lady then announced the deal would not be going ahead, amid reports the player had failed his medical.

This could give Arsenal the opportunity to renew their interest in the striker. The Gunners were linked with the 21-year-old throughout last season and now try and sign him after that collapsed transfer.

Schick scored 11 goals in Serie A last season and is known for his poacher’s instinct in the opposition penalty area. He’s won five caps for the Czech Republic national team and featured for their U21 side during this summer’s U21 European Championships.
