Arsenal supporters won’t be too pleased to hear of Alexis Sanchez’s silent response when asked if he was staying at the club this summer.

According to the Guardian, the Chilean international said nothing when asked by a journalist: “Are you going to stay with us next season?” Sanchez allegedly continued walking past without stopping.

While players often treat journalists in a similar fashion, it will be a worry the Arsenal man is saying very little in general. He’s been quiet on the subject of his future all summer, leaving the talking to his outspoken agent Fernando Felicevich.

Sanchez did say at the end of June that he had made up his mind about his Arsenal future but refused to give more information. He’s made no claims of wanting to stay at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The report goes on to say about Sanchez’s £400k-per-week wage demands but it may be a ploy to have Arsenal force him out of the club as the player and agent know the Gunners will never pay him £21m-a-year.

Should Arsenal supporters be worried?
