Arda Turan’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, claims that his client is expected to remain at Barcelona next season despite the Catalan giants desperately trying to offload the 30-year-old.

Bulut has made it clear that Turan will still be a Barcelona player next season and that the midfielder will fulfill his contract with the La Liga club.

“Arda has a three year contract and will be with Barcelona at the beginning of the preseason… Nothing has changed, everything is the same and Arda will fulfil his contract,” Bulut told NTV [via Sport].

Barcelona are reportedly eager to offload the Turkey international and Arsenal have been heavily linked with a £26m move for the 30-year-old. However, it appears that Turan will be staying put.

Turan signed for Barca from Atletico Madrid in 2015 but has failed to replicate the form he discovered under Diego Simeone. Since joining the Catalans, he’s struggled for game time, which is why he was keen on a move.

Last season, the midfielder made 30 appearances, scoring 13 goals and racking up seven assists.

He’s also been linked with a move to Besiktas and was even photographed with Emre Kocadag, Besiktas’s transfer fixer.
