West Ham supporters are excited by the prospect of Olivier Giroud arriving at their club, with rumours of a bid being prepared.
- Giroud could leave Arsenal this summer for more playing time
- West Ham are one of the club’s interested
- Giroud believed to be open to a move
According to Goal, Giroud is open to a move to West Ham and the Hammers are prepared to pay £20m to sign him. They have also been linked with Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho for the same price.
West Ham have had problems up front for several years with injury-prone Andy Carroll the only one that offers them any sort of quality. Giroud would be a significant upgrade and the West Ham fans feel that he would be brilliant signing.
Despite losing his place in the Arsenal side last season, the 30-year-old French international scored 12 goals in 11 Premier League starts.Such an impressive goal output could potenntially help a side like West Ham go from the bottom-half to the top-six.
Giroud could be leaving Arsenal this summer in search of more playing time, something he hinted towards earlier this month. He appeared mostly a sub for Arsenal last season and has plenty of offers from the French Ligue 1.
