Despite Watford withdrawing their interest in Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs, the unwanted left-back is now reported to be a target for West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

Watford were put off by Arsenal’s £15m valuation of Gibbs, but West Ham and Palace are interested in the England international, reports the Daily Star. With Arsenal recently signing Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac to compete with Nacho Monreal for a starting place, Gibbs is expected to be sold this summer.

The 27-year-old has just 12 months left on his deal with Arsenal and made just 11 Premier League appearances last season. Despite getting a run in the side in the last few weeks of the campaign, Gibbs won’t be first-choice in 2017/18. His valuation seems too high for a player who’s hardly featured in the last two years so Arsenal might have to be more realistic.

West Ham and Crystal Palace do have good left-back options so it’s unlikely they would break the bank to sign Gibbs this summer. United have Aaron Cresswell and Arther Masuaku while Palace have Patrick van Aanholt, Jeffrey Schlupp and Pape Souare. This link might be duo to geography, rather than genuine need.
