Watford have submitted an offer for full-back Sebastien Corchia, a player Arsenal were previously interested in signing.

  • Corchia has been linked with Arsenal in the past
  • Watford and other clubs are interested
  • Arsenal are unlikely to sign a fullback this summer

The Lille right back has been linked with Arsenal several times down the years, especially when he was breaking through at former side Sochaux. For one reason or another, a move never materialised and Corchia went on to join Lille.

Now he’s a target for Watford, according to latest reports. The Hornets are believed to have lodged a bid of around £5m. Besiktas and an unnamed Spanish club are also interested.

Corchia made 38 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille last season and featured twice in the Europa League.

Arsenal have been linked with a couple of right backs this summer but are unlikely to be in the market for one unless current first-choice Hector Bellerin was to leave the club.
