After allegedly making a recent bid of around £26m for Barcelona’s Turan, Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to budge, and are refusing to make a higher offer, claim Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo [via Sport Witness].

The Gunners have been continuously linked with the 30-year-old this summer and with the Catalans apparently eager to sell, Arsenal could find themselves in the driver’s seat.

Last season, Turan made just 18 La Liga appearances, scoring three goals and assisting the same amount, and he’s not been able to replicate the form he discovered under Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.

Arda is not going anywhere. Barcelona’s directors are happy with him,” Bulut told AS.

“We haven’t spoken to any club about a transfer. The stories that have come out in the media that he will be leaving have annoyed Arda.

“And nor has it gone down well with board members at the club – Arda Turan will see out his contract. He will stay at Barca until 2020.”

Inter Milan are also said to be interested.
