Jorge Mendes has been spotted in Barcelona where he reportedly held three-hour crunch talks with Barcelona over Arda Turan’s future at the club.
- Mendes spotted in Barcelona
- Said to have been drafted in the help Turan negotiations
- Arsenal wary of Mendes’s methods
- Gunners have reportedly offered Barca £26.3m for Turan
Mendes, who has a star-studded client list which includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho, has allegedly been in Barcelona for talks with the La Liga giants over Turan’s future.
Although Ahmet Bulut is Turan’s regular agent, Mundo Deportivo claim that the big guns, i.e. Mendes, have been brought in to help negotiate the 30-year-old’s exit.

Arsenal are said to have already put forward an offer of £26.3m (€30m), and while Bulut previously insisted that Turan wasn’t leaving this summer, the bid has allegedly made Barca stand to attention.
According to the Metro, however, the Gunners will be wary of working with Mendes, who they’ve deliberately had very few dealings with in the past, since he’s likely to spark a bidding war.
Of course, Mendes could just be in Barcelona for his own client, Andre Gomes, who’s also been linked with a move away from the Catalans this summer.
