Tottenham have reportedly attempted to swoop in for rumoured Arsenal and Hoffenheim target, Ginter.

According to Bild, the Gunners’ north London rivals have lodged a bid of £15m for the 23-year-old German international, who can play at centre-back, holding-mid, and right-back.

Last season, the Dortmund utility player made 42 appearances, with the majority of these (35) being at centre-back, which seems to be his strongest position. However, Ginter is nothing if not versatile and even played one match in the Champions League against Monaco in right midfielder.

The Bundesliga club are apparently ready to let him go after Thomas Tuchel, who was an admirer of Ginter, was sacked just three days after leading the club to their first trophy in five years.

Ginter has two years left on his current Dortmund deal.
