Wojciech Szczesny has given Arsenal fans hope by denying an imminent move to Juventus.

  • Szczesny was believed to be joining Italian champions Juventus
  • Arsenal seemed to have no interest in keeping the Polish keeper
  • Szczesny plans on returning to Arsenal

It seemed certain that Szczesny would be leaving the club to battle Gianluigi Buffon for the number one spot at Juventus, much to many fans’ dismay.

However, in a recent interview with Tutto Juve, Szczesny has denied the move is happening and confirmed that he would be returning to Arsenal.

“I don’t read the newspapers and don’t know if these rumours are true or not,” he said. “After my loan to Roma, I will return to Arsenal. Now I’m just thinking about my holiday in America, because last season was stressful.”

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Szczesny will stay for the season. Arsenal still plan on having Petr Cech as the number one keeper next season and Szczesny won’t be happy with sitting on the bench after two good years with Roma.

But for now, it seems his future isn’t as certain as reports led us to believe. There’s still a chance his future lies with Arsenal.
