Calum Chambers could reportedly return to Southampton on loan next season.

Chambers only signed for Arsenal from the Saints three years ago for £16m but is already been linked with a move back.

Southampton are said to be keen to take their former defender back on loan next season.

A host of other clubs are also rumoured to be interested in taking Chambers off Arsene Wenger’s hands after the 22-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Middlesbrough last term.

He made 26 appearances in all competitions, despite spending 65 days on the sidelines through injury.

Newcastle, Leipzig and Everton are said to be among the teams eager to bring Chambers on board, with the Toffees allegedly willing to make a woeful £15m offer.

Although the England youth international does show huge potential, it’s difficult to see him slotting straight into the current Arsenal first team. Therefore, perhaps another loan spell would be a good idea.
