Schalke are reportedly closing in on rumoured Arsenal target, 20-year-old Nantes attacking midfielder, Amine Harit.

  • Harit made his debut for the Ligue 1 side on 13 August 2016 against Dijon
  • Made 34 appearances for Nantes last season
  • Arsenal and Schalke interested
  • Schalke said to have agreed four-year deal, transfer fee, and personal terms with player

Schalke and Nantes have reportedly agreed a transfer fee of £8.75m for Harit, as well as personal terms, despite apparently interest from Arsenal, according to french outlet, TF1.

The rumoured four-year deal isn’t set in stone, however, and it’s still believed that new Nantes boss, former Leicester manager, Claudio Ranieri, could convince the France u20 international to stay put.

Harit made 34 appearances over all competitions for Nantes last season, including 30 in Ligue 1, in which he scored once and assisted once. This is despite only making his first team debut against Dijon in August last year.

The young midfielder still has three years left on his current deal in France.
