Manchester United and Chelsea have been boosted by the news that Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski could be available if Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez moves to the Allianz Arena this summer.

According to the Sun, Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich if the club procure Sanchez’s signature and pay him £350k-a-week in wages. The Polish international’s future in Germany would be under immediate threat should Sanchez sign, increasing the likelihood of Lewandowski move to the Premier League.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea are desperate for a striker this summer, and with Lewandowski boasting 30 goals in 33 Bundesliga games last season, it’s not hard to see why the 28-year-old is top of their wish list. Bayern are keen to keep the former Dortmund striker, however, as he’s nevertheless still one of the best centre-forwards in the world.

But the German giants risk losing a top striker if they bring in Arsenal’s want-away forward. Sanchez wouldn’t be a bad replacement given he bagged 30 goals in all competitions last season and proved he can play through the middle, but reports are suggesting there isn’t enough room for the two players at the Allianz.
