There had been more news of potential outgoings than incomings for Arsenal on the weekend, which won’t be good news for supporters.

Since Sead Kolasinac’s arrival, the Gunners have made little progress in bringing in another summer acquisition, but the futures of up to nine players have been speculated about.

Wojciech Szczesny

The Arsenal goalkeeper has been linked with a permanent move to the Italian Serie A, with Juventus reportedly leading the chase. The Pole was said to be subject to a £5m bid and needs to make a decision on whether he requests to leave Arsenal so Juve make an improved bid, or if he signs a new deal with the Gunners.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly told Arsenal of his intentions to quit the club this summer, amid Liverpool’s interest. Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to tie him down to a new deal, so far to no avail.

Olivier Giroud

12 months after West Ham United botched their summer transfer window by targeting players too big for their current reputation, the Londoners are once again targeting an unrealistic target in Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud, despite the player signing a new deal last season and wanting to stay at the Emirates.

Takuma Asano

The Arsenal and Japan striker has had his work permit denied and will have to be loaned out for another season.

Mario Lemina

Arsenal appear close to signing Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina for around £20m. The player admitted being flattered in the interest and it does appear the Gunners are leading the chase for his signature.

Juan Cuadrado

Another Juventus player in Arsenal sights, but Juan Cuadrado might be harder to attain given the Gunners had a bid rejected. They’re still after the Colombian, however, so progress could be made in the future.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Impossible? Yes. Ludicrous? Yes. The Real Madrid man reportedly asked to leave the club after allegations of tax fraud, setting a host of clubs on red alert. Supporters have called on Wenger to make a bid, but it’s unlikely he’d ever consider the switch.

Alexandre Lacazette

The Lyon striker is believed to be on his way to Arsenal, with Atletico Madrid now out of the picture while Manchester United are targeting Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata. Liverpool are still reportedly in the picture, however, so a resolution isn’t likely to come to this transfer saga anytime soon.

Darren Burgess

Arsenal finally made a change to their backroom staff with the signing of former Liverpool coach and fitness expert Darren Burgess, potentially to help the side overcome muscle injuries that plagues a number of the British players.
