Roma are reportedly hoping to use some of the £35m they’re expecting to get from Liverpool for Mohamed Salah to sign Arsenal target, Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas.
- Roma want to sign Ozyakup
- Willing to offer fee gained from Salah sale to Liverpool
- Ozyakup has won two titles since signing for Besiktas for €500k in 2012
Ozyakup signed for Besiktas from Arsenal five years ago and now the Gunners apparently want the midfielder back. However, Roma could be set to swoop in and sign him before Arsene Wenger even gets there.
According to Il Messaggero, the Serie A side, who are set to sell Salah to Liverpool, plan on using some of the £35m they’re due to receive to sign Ozyakup.
Ozzie has scored 27 goals and tallied up 42 assists in 182 appearances over all competitions since moving to Turkey. Last season, he scored five in the league and assisted eight.
The 24-year-old has also helped Besiktas to two league titles since joining.
