Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, claims that, contrary to previous reports, the La Liga side have not made any bids for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.

Although Arsenal and Real have both been heavily linked with mega-offers for 18-year-old striker, Mbappe, Perez insists that his club hasn’t made a bid at all.

The Real president, who is known for signing big-name players, a.k.a. Galácticos, does admit that his club have an interest in Mbappe, whose phenomenal 2016/17 season has seen him become one of the most in-demand players in the world. However, apparently, the Spanish giants are yet to make an offer.

“To this day, nobody has offered us anything for any player and we have not made any offer,” Perez told Marca [via Sky Sports].

“Everything that has come out and been spoken about is not true. It’s all due to the interests and dreams of others.

“Of course (there is interest) in Mbappe, the AC Milan goalkeeper, (Flamengo youngster) Vinicius Junior and other young players.

“If they are good, Real Madrid will take an interest at the right time. Real Madrid has always had the best players in the world. But I need to talk to Zidane. We will continue to think about these issues.”

story trackerThis could be a boost to Arsenal, who are said to be willing to offer up to £122m for the talented French youngster, considering Mbappe is thought to be a fan of Real.

However, as Perez pointed out, there is interest from Real there. Just because they haven’t made a bid yet, doesn’t mean they won’t.

Plus, other reports suggest that Mbappe with just stay at Monaco.
