Arsenal legend, Patrick Vieira, is apparently one of the main candidates being considered for the role of Southampton manager.
- Former Gunner second favourite to land Southampton job

- New club finished fourth overall in MLS, second in Eastern Conference
- Bergkamp and Henry also linked with Southampton job
At the time of writing, Vieira is 7/4 to become the next Southampton manager as the club search for a replacement for Claude Puel.
Vieira has only been manager of New York City FC since last year but reportedly could have his head turned by the chance to manage in the Premier League. Not only a league in which he used to play but one of the best in the world.
Puel’s contract with the Saints was terminated in June despite the Frenchman helping the team to a top eight finish and the League Cup final.
While Vieira is in the frame to become Puel’s successor, former Valencia boss, Mauricio Pellegrino, is the favourite to take up the job at 5/4.
Other alleged candidates include Dennis Bergkamp (20/1) and Thierry Henry (50/1).
