Manchester City are reportedly ready to cut former Arsenal midfielder, Samir Nasri’s, asking price due to lack of interest.

  • Nasri missed over 100 days through injury last season alone
  • Midfielder only made 30 appearances across all comps, scored three goals overall
  • City finding it hard to sell 29-year-old after loan spell at Sevilla
  • Will look to cut price to £12m this summer in order to sell

When Nasri signed for City in 2011, the attacking midfielder was one of the hottest prospects in Europe. However, after the move, although still impressive in spells, he never quite met expectations.

When Pep Guardiola took charge last year, Nasri was loaned out to Sevilla, where he scored just two league goals and failed to shake off the injury woes that have plagued his career, and now it appears that no one wants to sign him permanently. Not even Sevilla, who had the option to as part of the loan deal.

As a result, the S*n [via This is Futbol] claim that City are looking at drastically reducing his asking price to just £12m. £13m less than Arsenal sold him for six years ago.

The 29-year-old will also most likely have to take a pay-cut himself, considering he currently demands £150k-per-week.
