AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar is reportedly keen to join Arsenal this summer, despite the Gunners set to miss out on Champions League football.
As reported by Metro, the 21-year-old is open to a move from the Stade Louis II and is believed to have a number of clubs keen on his signature. In addition to Arsenal, their fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Italian Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in the youngster.
Lemar enjoyed an outstanding season in Ligue 1, leading Monaco to the title with nine goals and 10 assists in 28 league starts. He created more than 70 chances and made 50 successful dribbles. He played in the Champions League semi-final defeat to Juventus and looks destined for a move this summer.
Despite Arsenal finishing outside of the Champions League places in the division this season, Lemar is still keen to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium. Last month, the forward was valued at around £26m, a fee Arsenal can meet easily given they bid a world record fee for teammate Kylian Mbappe.
The Gunners are weighing up Lemar and Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez as a potential option on the right wing this summer. Manager Arsene Wenger has stated his intention to bring in two more players. Lemar may be the subject of interest soon as a result.
