Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and others are reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund’s defender, Matthias Ginter.

The 23-year-old played a crucial defensive role for Thomas Tuchel last season but with the manager getting sacked, there couldn’t be a better time to go in and try to get the player.

Both Tottenham and Arsenal are reportedly interested in him in order to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.

Along with the north London duo, Hoffenheim are also reportedly keeping an eye on the situation while, Liverpool, looking away from the troubled deal with Virgil van Dijk, are also believed be highly interested.

Tottenham are looking at the possibility of losing Kyle Walker and Danny Rose with Toby Alderweireld also facing uncertain future this summer. Mauricio Pochettino would certainly appreciate the versatility of Ginter, a man who can play as a central defender or right-back.

Arsenal’s defensive problems could also be solved, apparently, by a player of Ginter’s calibre who has plenty of talent, experience and is still young enough to progress even further.

The German international made 42 appearances for Borussia Dortmund but after the sacking of Tuchel and the appointment of Peter Bosz, his future at the club is said to be uncertain.

The player is priced at around £15m and he could be one of the best bargain buys of the summer.
