Lucas Perez is reportedly edging closer to a move to Fenerbahce just one season after he signed for Arsenal.

Unhappy with his lack of playing time at Arsenal, Lucas appears to be edging ever closer to a move to Fenerbahce with reports claiming that the 28-year-old is in advanced talks with the Turkish club.

Despite spending 16 games sidelined through injury last season, the forward’s agent recently made it clear that Arsene Wenger’s choice to sign a new two-year deal with the Gunners means that Lucas will be looking for regular football elsewhere.

“If everything is still the same and the coach is the same, in theory the opportunities are going to be the same, few, and our idea is to leave,” Lucas’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, told a radio show in Coruña recently.

“We know that Arsenal is the ‘owner’ of the player, and that contract says that its duration is three more seasons.”

Fenerbahce are said to be willing to offer the Spaniard £3m-per-season but it remains to be seen how much of the £17m Arsenal paid Deportivo for Lucas last summer the Turkish team are willing to cough up. Reports claim it’s in the region of just £13m.
