According to a reports, La Liga side Levante have pulled out of the race to sign Lucas.
They were previously interested in the forward. However, it appears that they’re unwilling to meet Arsenal’s £13.2m (€15m) valuation.
The Gunners signed the 28-year-old from Deportivo less than a year ago for £17m and while they understandably want to make as much money back as possible and would prefer a permanent transfer to a loan move, other clubs obviously don’t want to part with their cash.
Lucas’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, recently revealed to a radio show in Coruña that Arsene Wenger signing a two-year deal with Arsenal means that his client will most likely leave this summer, seeing as it looks doubtful that he’ll get enough playing time.
Lucas only made 21 appearances for the Gunners last season and, despite being out injured for a lot of his time in north London, he was unhappy with how little action he saw.
