Leeds United could move for Chuba Akpom this summer in an attempt to inject some much-needed pace into their attack.
- Leeds need versatility and pace
- Akpom has struggled for game time at Arsenal
- 21-year-old has been out on loan five times
- Striker failed to score in 10 appearances for Brighton last season
According to Hitc, Leeds need a pacey striker who can add another dimension to their attack and lend them some versatility when it comes to tactics.
Akpom, who’s just returned from an unsuccessful loan spell with Brighton, in which he failed to score in 10 appearances, has struggled to gain regular first team experience at Arsenal, despite his pal Alex Iwobi excelling over the last season and a half.
Akpom’s made just 10 competitive appearances for the Gunners’ first team since 2012 and failed to score.
Therefore, it seems likely that the 21-year-old could leave on loan once again, or Arsenal could choose to sell him permanently.

The report doesn’t claim that the switch will definitely happen but insists that it makes perfect sense for both the player and the Whites.
Akpom has also had loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, and Hull.
