Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa could be on his way to Juventus, after manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed the Brazilian international was a transfer target this summer.

“ [Douglas Costa] is one of our objectives, he’s a very good player,” Allegri told Sky Sports Italia. The Bayern man reportedly fell out with the club hierarchy over contract negotiations and is expected to leave this summer as a result. He made just 14 Bundesliga starts last season, scoring four and goals making three assists.

The 26-year-old is also believed to be a target for Arsenal, having been linked in the last few days after news of his availability surfaced. His asking price is lofty, however, with Bayern suggesting Costa would cost €50m this summer, a fee Arsenal might not meet.

Juventus are desperate to strengthen their attacking options but do struggle to sign stellar players outside of the Serie A. Costa, a left-footed right-winger, provides goals and assists as a wide forward and would make the Italians even stronger in the final third.

Despite a lack of playing time this season at Bayern, Costa still scored and created 13 goals in 19 starts in all competitions.
