Football agent, Jorge Mendes, is reportedly trying to convince Barcelona not to sign Hector Bellerin this summer as he wants them to sign one of his clients instead.

Mendes, whose clients include the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho, apparently wants Barcelona to sign one of his clients.

According to Spanish outlet, Don Balon, the Portuguese agent has put Monaco’s Fabinho, Valencia defender Joao Cancelo, and Benfica’s Nelson Semedo on the table, and wants the Catalan giants to forget signing Bellerin from Arsenal.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with Bellerin recently.

Despite the 22-year-old previously seeming set on staying in north London for a long time and even signing a new, six-year deal last year, his family moving back to Spain appears to have been a game-changer, with reports claiming that he’s already agreed terms with his boyhood club so that he can be close to his support system again.

However, Arsenal are allegedly demanding £44m for the right-back, which Barca don’t want to pay.
