Roma defender and Wojciech Szczesny’s teammate, Juan Jesus, claims that the goalkeeper thinks he’s going to Juventus this summer.

Szczesny’s potential move to Juventus this summer is all over the Italian press and while most Arsenal fans will be hoping the rumours aren’t true, it appears the goalkeeper believes he will move to the Serie A giants soon, according to his former teammate.

“Alisson? He’s fine, unfortunately he’s not played much, only in the Coppa Italia and in the Europa League, but I think he’ll be a starter next season because Szczesny thinks he’s going to Juve,” Juan Jesus told Brazilian radio station ATL Grenal.

After two years on loan at Roma, it was always expected that Woj would return to north London and battle 35-year-old Petr Cech for the number one shirt. It makes complete sense since the Poland international is on the up while Cech appears to be in decline.

However, it seems as if Woj has instead decided to sign for Juve, choosing to sit on the bench for the final year of 39-year-old Gigi Buffon’s contract, despite there being a World Cup in 2018.

It still seems like a bizarre move on Arsenal’s part and most Gooners will be hoping Arsene Wenger has something up his sleeve.
