Emil Forsberg has said that he doesn’t ‘want to talk about a transfer this summer’ before adding that things are taken care of by his agent anyway.

The RB Leipzig winger, who created an incredible 22 assists in 30 Bundesliga games last season, has been the subject of much speculation, most of it centring on Arsenal.

There’s no doubt he’s an exciting player and one that has more than proven himself in a top European league.

At just 25, he’s about to hit his prime and is the perfect age for a step up.

But it seems like that might not happen this summer.

“I don’t want to talk about a transfer this summer,” he told Aftonbladet.

“I have a contract with Leipzig and we have really enjoyed ourselves there.

“Everything else is taken care of by my agent.”

So what does that mean?

It’s hard to tell really.

On the one hand he seems to close the door on any move but with the other he appears to open the window.

If I had to guess, I’d say he’s making all the right noises for a player who wouldn’t mind a move but isn’t entirely sure if one will come about.

His contract with the German side runs until 2022 having just renewed in February.
