Everton are the latest club reportedly interested in signing KAS Eupen forward, Henry Onyekuru.

  • Onyekuru is yet to obtain a UK work permit
  • Winger said to have chosen move to West Ham for first team football
  • Everton willing to pay £7m
  • Toffees will loan Onyekuru out to Anderlecht next season

Everton could reportedly be ready to out-muscle Arsenal and West Ham for Onyekuru‘s signature this summer, before immediately loaning him out to Anderlecht for more first team experience in the league he’s familiar with.

Anderlecht have also been linked with the winger, who scored 22 goals in the league last season, so would presumably be happy with this arrangement.

While Arsenal were thought to be in serious talks with the 20-year-old over a move to north London, the lure of regular first team football at West Ham was apparently too great and the Belgian was said to be completing his move to the London Stadium two weeks ago.

The Gunners were supposedly willing to trigger Onyekuru’s £6.8m release clause, but the Hammers were willing to pay £7.87m, as well as £35k-per-week in wages.

Now that Everton have reportedly entered the mix, however, the situation could change again.
