Borussia Dortmund winger, Ousmane Dembele, has reportedly met Pep Guardiola and been treated to a tour of Manchester City’s facilities ahead of a potential move.

  • Dembele is an in-demand player this summer
  • Signed from Rennes for Dortmund last year for around £13m
  • Dortmund now demanding £62m
  • City, Barca, PSG all interested

After turning down moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool last summer, Dembele has apparently been shown around City’s facilities by Pep himself, according to Le 10 Sport.

The 20-year-old winger, who has also recently been linked with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, appears to be one of the most in-demand starlets in Europe at the moment after scoring 10 goals and tallying up 21 assists in 49 appearances for Dortmund last season.

PSG are said to be ready to offer the Bundesliga club £62m (€70m) for Dembele, who still has four years left on his current deal, despite Dortmund only signing him for £13m (€15m) from Rennes last summer.

Speaking about his choice to snub Arsenal and Liverpool last season, Dembele explained, “I had a lot of offers, but I made it clear right from the start that I was only interested in joining Dortmund.

“I knew right away that I only wanted Dortmund.

“The way they showed an interest in me and gave me the feeling they really wanted me convinced me to join Dortmund.

“I have had a lot of meetings with head coach Thomas Tuchel since Dortmund first got in touch in the winter. I am convinced he is the right coach to help me develop.

“Dortmund are the perfect club for young players, the past has shown that. I cannot wait to play my first game for Dortmund in front of the home fans.”
