Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent is set for a crunch meeting with Real Madrid to determine his future.

  • Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid due to a lack of support following allegations of tax evasion
  • Manchester United, PSG and Arsenal have been touted as possible destinations
  • Nobody believes Ronaldo will really leave Real Madrid

Ronaldo publicly declared he wanted to leave Spain following a tax investigation. The 32-year-old was said to be upset about a lack of support from Real Madrid.

It was believed that should Ronaldo leave Madrid, he could return to Manchester United or join PSG. Arsenal and Bayern Munich were also linked.

However, according to the Daily Star, nobody in football believes Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid, and that the outcry is a ploy to get an even bigger contract with the Spanish giants.

Arsenal have been named as one of many clubs who would be interested in Ronaldo but cannot afford his reported $1bn release clause nor his lofty wage demands.

Ronaldo was a player Arsenal could have signed in the past but financial constraints led to them missing out, reported Sky Sports.
