Reports from France claim an unnamed Chinese club have offered Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny a huge contract to move this summer.

  • A Chinese club have spoken with Koscielny’s representatives about a move
  • 31-year-old has been offered a substantial deal
  • Manchester City and Marseille are also interested

Le10 Sport claim that Koscielny’s representatives have been approached by an unnamed Chinese club about a proposed move to the Chinese Super League. Koscielny has reportedly been offered a substantial contract in an effort to prise him away from Arsenal.

Koscielny, though, is happy to stay at Arsenal, especially after Arsene Wenger signed a contract. The 31-year-old has been previously linked with a move to Marseille this summer, and it’s believed the French club still have hopes of signing him.

Manchester City would also be interested should Koscielny decide to leave. Koscielny leaving the club this summer would be disastrous for the Gunners, and it’s worrying these links exist at all.

However, as far as the China links go, it’s very unlikely Koscielny will force a move at this stage of his career despite the money on offer. He’s been at Arsenal since 2010, making 290 appearances.
