Besiktas have shown an interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.

It seems as if Turan will be leaving Barcelona this summer as new manager Ernesto Valverde looks to improve his midfield options. According to the Metro, Besiktas are the latest club to be reported as having an interest in signing the Turkish international.

Turan has been linked with Arsenal numerous times since he joined Barcelona but no deal has ever materialised. Never able to hold down a first team spot at the Camp Nou since joining from Atletico Madrid, his exit is inevitable but the destination remains unknown.

There was some talk that he could even be offered to Arsenal as part of a deal for Hector Bellerin. Barcelona seem intent on selling and could allow him to go for a reduced price just to free up space.

At 30, though, his best days could be behind him, and Arsenal may be looking at younger targets.
