Hector Bellerin is not ‘actively’ working on a move to Barcelona and Arsene Wenger has no interest in selling him despite what the papers seem determined to claim.

Bellerin has been constantly linked with a move back to Barcelona, but the recent story of him missing his family and his wish to be reunited with them has added even more fuel to the fire. The two leading Catalan newspapers have published the interview where Bellerin says:

“My family settled there with me [in London], although now for family matters they have had to return to Barcelona.

“Now I am having a harder time, because I am a very family orientated person, I depend on them a lot, and it will be a new challenge to be without them.”

The whole story is now being disputed as multiple Spanish based journalists reject the speculation and believe that Bellerin will stay at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.

It’s also worth noting that Arsenal haven’t received any official bid yet. Plus Hector tweeted,

Arsene Wenger has started work on bringing in reinforcements in order to fight for the Premier League title once again, and Bellerin is one of the core players to his plans.

There is also a fact the that Bellerin recently signed a new six-year contract which suggests that he is happy at the club and believes in the progress being made.
