Hector Bellerin is reportedly missing his family and further quotes from his recent interview confirm his intention to return to Spain.

Media in Catalonia are overflowing with rumours of Hector Bellerin and his potential transfer to Barcelona. The player admitted in a recent interview that he’s missing his family who had to move back to Spain for personal reasons.

Hector Bellerin is having a tough time living alone in London and the player is very connected to his family: “Being with my parents after games, it’s something I’ve done since childhood. I like to share these moments with them. Everything is more difficult if they are not with you,” he said.

The interest from Barcelona hasn’t wavered this summer and it seems Bellerin has bigger personal incentive to join the club of his youth. The fact the right-back recently signed a new six-year-contract means the ball is in Arsenal’s court.

But with Bellerin’s admission that he’s homesick, Barcelona will be looking to convince him to make the return to Spain. It’s unlikely they will withdraw their interest this summer given their desperation for a right-back.
