Bayern Munich are prepared to loan out former Arsenal winger, Serge Gnabry, if they sign a big name attacker in the coming months.

That is according to a report in Metro, who suggest Gnabry could be made available if Bayern’s pursuit of attacking upgrades continues this summer.

Gnabry, 21, signed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga champions earlier this month after they activated a release clause in his contract with Werder Bremen to capture him for £7m.

He netted 11 goals, created two and notched a tally of 32 chances created during his 27 appearances for Bremen as they battled hard for a top-eight finish in Germany last season.

In the hopes that he’ll continue his development elsewhere whilst still remaining contracted to Bayern, there is a possibility that they will loan the Germany international out to an interested suitor before the summer window is over.

They are also quietly confident they can persuade Arsenal to part ways with talisman Alexis Sánchez this summer, as the Chilean only has a year remaining on his existing deal at the Emirates and would contribute significantly to their fluidity in the final third as they look to improve and lessen the goalscoring load on Robert Lewandowski.

Gnabry is currently on international duty with Germany u21s as they aim to win the European Championships in Poland, though it’s uncertain yet whether Carlo Ancelotti has any immediate plans for the youngster in his squad on a regular basis.

Schalke and Hoffenheim are just two of the Bundesliga sides that have been linked with a season-long loan move for Gnabry, who acclimatised quickly after his surprise move on deadline day back home.
