Arsenal remain adamant that they will not sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.

  • Arsenal are refusing to sell Alexis to a Premier League rival
  • Alexis is a top target for Manchester City
  • Bayern Munich are also interested but are less confident of signing him

According to the Mirror, Arsenal will be doing their utmost to prevent the Chilean from moving up north to Manchester – a stance they’ve had since the beginning of the summer.

Arsene Wenger has already said he’d be willing to let Alexis’ contract run down if it meant keeping him at the club for another season. Failing that, Arsenal would much rather sell abroad to Bayern Munich.

However, Bayern are said to be losing hope that a deal can be done as they feel Alexis will want to stay in England.

It’s a precarious situation for Arsenal. They have offered Alexis a new deal that would more-than double his current wages, but there’s no indication that he’ll sign it.

Alexis reportedly wants to leave Arsenal to win major trophies and City’s spending spree will be attractive to him.

The saga will continue for many more weeks to come.
