Both Arsenal and Spurs have apparently been keen on Monaco winger, Lemar, this summer. However, the 21-year-old has reportedly chosen to side with the Gunners over their north London rivals, despite Spurs finishing higher in the league last season.
While there has been talk of a ‘powershift’ following Tottenham’s ‘impressive’ campaign last term, Arsenal are still the bigger team, even without Champions League football, and Arsene Wenger has a considerable amount of pulling power with French players.
Arsenal are said to be willing to spend £25m on the France international, who featured 55 times for Monaco last season, scoring 14 and assisting 17.
Lemar has three years left on his deal with the Ligue 1 side.
Liverpool and Juventus are also said to be interested.
