Arsenal have held talks with the agent of OGC Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

  • Arsenal have talked with Seri’s agent
  • Nice are said to be holding out for £35m for the Ivorian
  • Wenger and Gazidis were pictured in Nice

According to the Guardian’s Ed Aarons on Twitter, Arsenal have spoken to the agent of Jean Michael Seri as they look to bolster the midfield.

Seri had a strong campaign with Nice last season, scoring seven goals and getting nine assists as the club qualified for the Champions League. Nice, though, are reluctant to sell and are asking for £35m for the midfielder.

Roma, Tottenham, Paris St. Germain and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the Ivorian.

Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis were pictured in Nice recently amid speculation that they were looking to sign either Thomas Lemar or Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco.

However, it’s very possible they could be there to negotiate a deal for Seri with Nice. Arsenal are believed to be in the market for a central midfielder with Santi Cazorla set to be out until next December and future of Mohamed Elneny and Jack Wilshere unknown.
