Arsenal chances of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been boosted as Paris Saint-Germain have pulled out of a deal.

  • PSG were close to signing Aubameyang for €70m
  • However, they’ve changed their mind to focus on signing a midfielder
  • Arsenal have been linked with the striker

German newspaper Blid were reporting that PSG were close to completing a deal for Aubameyang for €70m. However, it now appears they’ve dropped their interest as their attention has turned to signing a midfielder.

The news could give Arsenal hope as they’re one of several clubs linked with the Gabonese striker. Aubameyang would be a welcome addition to the Arsenal squad as they look to add more pace and quality to their frontline.

He’s been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe for the past two seasons and would cost less than some of the other names that Arsenal have been linked with so far. Arsenal’s interest at the moment seems to be in Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.
