Forbes has ranked Arsenal as the sixth most valuable club in world football.

  • Forbes have valued Arsenal at $1.93bn
  • Manchester United and Manchester City sit above Arsenal

The publication valued Arsenal at $1.93bn, which puts them above Premier League rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham but below 5th place Manchester City and 1st place Manchester United.

The figure is a 4% decrease on Arsenal’s value last season, but is still enough for them finish comfortably in the top ten.

The new Premier League TV deal has been cited as one of the biggest reasons why Premier League teams are becoming the most valuable in the world. The size of the current deal could even help offset the loss of revenue from not qualifying for the Champions League.

Manchester United remain the club to beat when it comes to value, as the strength of their commercial deals ensure that two years out of the Champions League isn’t damaging in the slightest.

Arsenal’s value will please majority shareholder Stan Kroenke, who could stand to make a significant profit on his original investment should he decide to sell the club one day.
