Arsenal are open to offers for right-backs Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy this summer.

  • Jenkinson has mostly played reserve football since returning from West Ham
  • Debuchy has struggled with injuries and has been behind Hector Bellerin

According to the Express, Arsenal will listen to offers for the two right backs, who haven’t made much of an impact on the first team in recent seasons.

Jenkinson spent two years on loan at West Ham before returning to Arsenal injured. He managed one appearance for Arsenal last season and was so unreliable that centre-back Gabriel was seen as better cover at right-back than he was.

A move to Crystal Palace was on the cards last January, but it fell through for personal reasons. Jenkinson didn’t feel the move was right for him.

Debuchy, meanwhile, has struggled with injuries since he arrived from Newcastle in 2015, which gave Hector Bellerin the opportunity to solidify himself as first choice right back.

Now 31, Debuchy has little chance of getting in the first team ahead of the Spaniard and should be leaving this summer. Previous attempts at leaving have been thwarted by injury.
