The Spanish press claim that Barcelona have received an ‘interesting’ offer for central midfielder, Andre Gomes.

  • Gomes came through the ranks at Benfica
  • 23-year-old has been capped 23 times for Portugal
  • Scored three goals last season and assisted three (all comps)
  • Signed for Barcelona from Valencia last summer
  • Barcelona have received €35m (£30m) offer

According to Mundo Deportivo [via Sport Witness], Barcelona have received an offer thought to be in the region of €35m (£30m) for Gomes, with Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham all being linked.

While Juve and United were heavily linked with a move for the midfielder while he was at Valencia last summer, Spurs and Arsenal are new to the chase.

Gomes had a mixed first season with Barca, making a total of 30 La Liga appearances. While this doesn’t sound bad, he only racked up 1,592 minutes. This means that, on average, each appearance was for about 53 minutes.

As he only signed from Valencia a year ago, he still has four years left on his deal with the Catalans.
