Ian Wright believes that, right now, players would much rather sign for Spurs than Arsenal.

It was another dismal display from the Gunners on Sunday afternoon during their 2-0 loss to their North London rivals.

If it hadn’t been for Petr Cech making nine saves – seven of which were in the second half – it could have descended into another humiliating hammering.

Wrighty slammed his former club on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 on Sunday night, pointing out how problems upstairs are set to scare future players off.

“Right now you’re gonna sign for Spurs,” the pundit said.

“The problem Arsenal have is the longer they don’t sort out what’s going on upstairs we are no longer going to be able to attract that player because he is going to go to another club.”

As much as I hate to admit it, it’s true.

You can talk about Arsenal’s history as much as you want but, in modern football, players don’t care about that. They care about the here and now and, with Arsenal, the here and now is looking pretty bleak.

Players aren’t playing for Arsene Wenger anymore and the manager seems completely delusional when it comes to defending his squad.

This season could take years to come back from.

Meanwhile, Spurs are going from strength-to-strength, playing well and challenging for the title.

If you had no allegiances to either club, who would you sign for?
