Woj’s second season-long loan spell at Roma is about to come to an end.

The goalkeeper has enjoyed a brilliant season over in Serie A, keeping 14 clean sheets in 36 appearances.

As Petr Cech appears to still be Arsenal’s number one, speculation over the 27-year-old’s future has been rife, with reports claiming that Woj wants to sign for a club that can give him reassurances that he will be the main goalkeeper.

However, in an interview with BT Sport, Woj claimed that, as much as he’s enjoyed his time in Italy, he’s always wanted to return to north London.

“I’m happy here,” he said.

“I feel I’ve grown as a goalkeeper but for me the time to make a decision will come in the summer.

“For now I’m an Arsenal player, as soon as my loan finishes, I have to come back [to London]. I’ve always said I’d love to be back there.

“Like I said, what will happen definitely won’t be decided now but in a month or two months’ time.”

Woj’s comments came just before Wenger praised the shot-stopper’s form when asked about Arsenal’s apparent interest in Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford, which the manager denied.

“We have plenty of goalkeepers,” the boss said after the Gunners’ 2-0 win over the relegated Black Cats.

“We have Petr Cech, we have Ospina, we have Wojciech, who is on loan at Roma and has had an exceptional season.

“We also have Emi Martinez. If there is one thing we don’t have to buy it’s a goalkeeper.”
