Jamaican sprinter and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has stated his belief that Alexis Sánchez should leave Arsenal and join Manchester United.

The 30-year-old, who is a huge United supporter, has said the Chilean’s world-class ability suits how previous United teams were in the past.

In their quest to reach the top once more, Bolt feels as though they should make a move for the 28-year-old – especially with his current contract running out next summer.

As quoted by the Daily Star he said, “I know Alexis. He plays for Arsenal. He should leave.

Sánchez has scored 24 and created 18 assists (all comps), which in total is more than any United player has achieved this season. Unsurprisingly then, Bolt said his favourite side should be the one that Alexis does join when quizzed about the forward’s future.

He would be great [at United]. He’s a player who I’ve always said [we need] over the years. We need someone who is capable of picking up the ball and creating chances for other people.

He’s proven himself to be one of the best,” Bolt continued.

Despite high praise and a transfer link from one of the world’s greatest athletes, Arsene Wenger previously revealed that Alexis would not be sold irrespective of whether he signed a contract extension or not.
